Enjoy a leisurely rainforest ramble through to the beach and back again...

Our scenic rides are a journey of discovery. Surrounded by ancient trees, you’ll walk past a rainforest creek and down to the beach.

Along the way you’ll ride through Cape Trib Camping grounds where if you’re lucky, you might spot a cassowary moving through the undergrowth. Moving alongside Myall Creek, you might see a crocodile sunning itself (from a safe distance of course) and then it’s on to the sand for breathtaking views of the Cape Tribulation headland.

The pace is intentionally slow and mindful, allowing you to truly appreciate the natural beauty that surrounds you here at Cape Tribulation, the only place on Earth where two UNESCO World Heritage sites meet: the Great Barrier Reef and ancient Daintree Rainforest.

Cape Trib Horse Rides ~ The Reef to Rainforest Ride

Saddle up for a true Far North Queensland experience — riding where two world heritage sites meet the world’s oldest rainforest & the Great Barrier Reef. Along the way, our local guides share stories about the land, plants, and wildlife, adding depth to this unique journey. an unforgettable setting to enjoy both the coastline and the connection with your horse. The highlight of the ride is experiencing the magic of the beach on horseback —it’s the ultimate spot for that once-in-a-lifetime selfie. Rides are at a relaxed walking pace, making it a memorable and accessible experience for all. There are two 90 minute rides a day, 10am and 1.30pm.

Cape Trib Horse Rides

Myall Beach ~ Cape Tribulation

Emerging from the dappled light of the rainforest, we ride onto the sands of Myall Beach for panoramic views of the Cape Tribulation headland. We pause to take in the significance of the area and its untouched beauty, with plenty of time for photos. On the return journey, enjoy sweeping views of Mount Sorrow rising above the rainforest canopy. The tour is not about going fast, in fact it’s all completed at walking pace, providing an intentionally peaceful and grounding experience.

Super nett!
Beautiful horses. Relaxing walk on beach.
Staff are super nice and helpful.
Had an amazing and casual ride thru the rainforest and beach walk. Very informative guide by Gerry of all the local biodiversity and Hally was super friendly too...highly recommended
You're not guaranteed to get to walk in the water (the guides need to be able to see there are no crocs or sting rays 🙃) but even the walk on the beach is lovely and they stop and take photos for each group on their horses which was lovely. Walking in the water was unreal though. Made it the coolest trail ride I've done so far 😍
My family and I all went riding and loved it. The horses were well trained knew what they were doing so we didn't really need to worry about it. We also enjoyed the random facts about the Daintree from the guide up front. Yes, my feet were undoubtedly sore afterwards but it was definetly worth it. Especially when my mothers horse decided to go bush. We got some really good pictures and some good laughs (mostly at each other). Would definetly recommend this to people who've never ridden before.
We had a very enjoyable ride, even my husband that had never ridden a horse felt relaxed and comfortable on the well cared for horses. Jackie and the other team rider made the experience pleasurable with their knowledge of the local area. Thank you :)
Amazing experience! Highly recommended if you wanna live an exceptional moment in the cape trib forest and beaches !
We’ve had the best time riding the horses. It felt like a dream to ride on the beach and through the rainforest. The horses were lovely and the staff was very friendly. It was very well organised. Highly recommend this place.
