We’re passionate about our horses, your safety and providing a positive experience in the truly stunning environment we call home.

Horse riding in Cape Tribulation is more than just a scenic trail, it’s a unique connection between human, animal and country. For many people, riding in harmony with a horse, moving with its natural rhythm is calming, confidence-building and even healing.

It is important to remember that horses are powerful animals and riders come with a range of experience and skill levels. To maximise safety and enjoyment, for you and our horses, we have some expectations regarding rider behaviour on and during the ride.

Rider Etiquette & Expectations

Please do the following during your ride:

  • Listen to your guide.
  • Respect and connect with your horse and the horses and riders around you.
  • Ask questions if you’re unsure about anything.
  • Enjoy the ride and the incredible scenery!
  • Take lots of photos, you will have plenty of time and opportunity to do this, when we stop at the beach for some amazing selfies!

Please DO NOT do the following during your ride:

  • No running, racing or galloping. Our rides are controlled and paced for safety and conducted at a walk only. Customers will not be able to go faster, regardless of previous horse riding experience.
  • No overtaking the guide or other riders.
  • No yelling, sudden movements, or waving objects. Horses can spook easily.
  • No whips or sticks to be used on our horses.
  • No use of phones, selfie sticks or cameras while riding unless stopped. We’ll give you time for photos!
  • No riding under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • No backpacks or loose bags. They can flap, fall and/or spook the horses.
  • No tandem riding or carrying children. One person per horse, no exceptions.
  • No ignoring the guide’s instructions. They’re there to keep you safe and make your ride enjoyable.

Die Besitzer der Ranch sind beide total hilfsbereit und sehr freundlich. Wir hatten leider nicht die Chance eine Tour bei ihnen zu machen, wurden aber von Ihnen aufgesammelt als unser Auto liegen geblieben ist. Wir durften uns außerdem auf einen Teil ihres Landes stellen bis wir eine Lösung gefunden haben. Super nett!

You're not guaranteed to get to walk in the water (the guides need to be able to see there are no crocs or sting rays 🙃) but even the walk on the beach is lovely and they stop and take photos for each group on their horses which was lovely. Walking in the water was unreal though. Made it the coolest trail ride I've done so far 😍

My family and I all went riding and loved it. The horses were well trained knew what they were doing so we didn't really need to worry about it. We also enjoyed the random facts about the Daintree from the guide up front. Yes, my feet were undoubtedly sore afterwards but it was definetly worth it. Especially when my mothers horse decided to go bush. We got some really good pictures and some good laughs (mostly at each other). Would definetly recommend this to people who've never ridden before.

We’ve had the best time riding the horses. It felt like a dream to ride on the beach and through the rainforest. The horses were lovely and the staff was very friendly. It was very well organised. Highly recommend this place.
