Enjoy a leisurely rainforest ramble through to the beach and back again...

Our scenic rides are a journey of discovery. Surrounded by ancient trees, you’ll walk past a rainforest creek and down to the beach.

Along the way you’ll ride through Cape Trib Camping grounds where if you’re lucky, you might spot a cassowary moving through the undergrowth. Moving alongside Myall Creek, you might see a crocodile sunning itself (from a safe distance of course) and then it’s on to the sand for breathtaking views of the Cape Tribulation headland.

The pace is intentionally slow and mindful, allowing you to truly appreciate the natural beauty that surrounds you here at Cape Tribulation, the only place on Earth where two UNESCO World Heritage sites meet: the Great Barrier Reef and ancient Daintree Rainforest.

A wonderfully serene experience. I went on 27 April 2025 and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Thanks Gerry and Haley.
I’ve always wanted to go horse riding on the beach and through the rainforest, and I’m so happy that I chose to do it here. The whole experience was amazing – even though it started raining pretty heavily right when we got on the horses!

The guides were really friendly and shared lots of interesting facts about the different plants in the rainforest, which made the ride even more special. They also took really nice photos of us riding along the beach, and we even got to ride a little bit through the water, which was such a cool moment.

At first, I was actually the only person who had booked for that day, so they suggested changing the date because it normally isn’t worth running the ride for just one person. But since it would have been my only chance to do it, they kindly said they would run it anyway. Organizing everything over the phone was super easy and they were incredibly helpful.

I also really appreciated how well they take care of their horses. I’m usually a bit concerned about tourist riding experiences because some places don’t seem to care much about the horses. Here it felt very different. The horses have a huge field where they can roam freely, without even needing fences, and they can go into the rainforest whenever they want. They have so much space and it was really nice to see that they are treated so well.

If you like horses – 10/10 recommend.
If you don’t like horses – also 10/10 recommend.
We had a great ride! The change between rainforest and beach was so great to get a feel for all of it. Jerry was super knowledgeable and had a lot of great information along the trail. He made the ride extra enjoyable. If we ever make it back to the area we will definitely book again!
Awesome horse riding experienced, even for movie riders like us!
Incredibly informative, friendly, and passionate guides! Gerry was particularly informative and knowledgeable, and a joy to ride with.
Horses were friendly and well behaved. Awesome, easy going experience with great guides.
Super nett!
Beautiful horses. Relaxing walk on beach.
Staff are super nice and helpful.
Had an amazing and casual ride thru the rainforest and beach walk. Very informative guide by Gerry of all the local biodiversity and Hally was super friendly too...highly recommended
You're not guaranteed to get to walk in the water (the guides need to be able to see there are no crocs or sting rays 🙃) but even the walk on the beach is lovely and they stop and take photos for each group on their horses which was lovely. Walking in the water was unreal though. Made it the coolest trail ride I've done so far 😍
