Cape trib

The last day of being on the gold coast before heading for cape trib , i finally got the chance to surf at coolangata beach , perfect swell for a beginner like me and there they were !!! a pod of dolphins swimming with us , there where only 4 of us that day so it was just so easy to catch a wave and have the dolphins follow you in , yep tick that off the bucket lists .

All packed up and heading straight for home in the north and bound for cape trib , scored a job as security for one of the local resorts not great pay but easy hours and easy work as i thought it was going to be for a 32 hour week .

I made the usual trip to the parents and caught up with relatives as such , not to mention all the gossip from mums side of the world , really !!!! had to get out quick football season and we all know my mother turns into a sci-co at this time of the year .

Cape trib and a relaxing first few weeks doing the meet and greet with the locals ,every one testing how far they could push it and how far they could push me , there was such a ecliptic group of people around you and rules and regulations seemed to stop this side of the ferry .

Cape trib was about to get a taste of the changes faced by the resorts and hotel bar’s across Australia and the liquor licencing rules were changing the way every one was doing business .

Cape trib was a small tight little community and so being just one security person trying to change the rules here was a little like working in papua , except these guys weren’t shooting at me and no bush knifes to deal with just a small number wanting knuckle up and have a go 🙂 .
